Pinterest - Integrating Technology
On
iLearn Technology, I read an interesting article on Pinterest.
Pinterest is a website with millions of fun ideas for teachers and
students. Solar systems are just one example, whether you're forming one
from under an umbrella, using toilet paper and balls in the hallway or
with a cracked egg. Your students will surely love it. Experiments with
sugar cubes, making tornadoes or studying the weather are also fun
ideas available to you. Historic timelines and math ideas are also
available to anyone with a creative hand.
Holiday projects are
also available on Pinterest. With a wide variety of fun and exciting
ideas like; snowflakes in January, heart shaped melted crayons for
Valentines Day, shamrock bracelets for St. Patrick's Day, bunny ears
along with many more ideas for Easter are a huge success with teachers
and students. Lets not forget May day baskets, 4th of July rockets,
Halloween ghost and goblins which are always a fun way to welcome Fall,
Thanksgiving hand print turkeys with poems and Popsicle stick snowmen
for winter are also crafts available on Pinterest.
Pinterest is
only one of many sources available to teachers. Whether you're
discussing the history of American Indians, growing plants with
biodegradable newspapers, or needing phonics phones for your students.
Be sure to check out Pinterest for one of the many of integrating the
use of technology into the classroom for you.
